Specification S1 · Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 3
Revise: Populations and SamplesA sampling frame should cover the intended population. For a simple random sample, assign a different number to every member and use randomly generated numbers to choose the sample. This reduces deliberate selection bias because every member has an equal chance of selection.

Specification 12.01a · Paper 1 (Foundation), Paper 2 (Foundation), Paper 3 (Foundation), Paper 4 (Higher), Paper 5 (Higher), Paper 6 (Higher)
A list of all members of the population from which a sample can be selected.
Revise: Populations and SamplesBias may also come from an incomplete sampling frame or from non-response if those who do not answer differ systematically from those who do. Taking more observations from the same biased source produces a more precise description of that source, not necessarily a better estimate of the intended population.
