Paper 1
Revise: Impact of the Second World WarIn January 1942, the government established the War Production Board (WPB) to convert industries from civilian production to war production. An ‘arsenal’ is a place where weapons are made or stored: America became a huge supplier of equipment for its own forces and its allies.
Keep chronology clear: Lend Lease and Executive Order 8802 began in 1941, before the USA entered the war in December; the War Production Board followed in January 1942.
