Reggae

Music heard in local venues included Jamaican ska and, as it developed during the 1960s, reggae, alongside rhythm and blues. Caribbean entertainment also included calypso music and dancing such as the limbo. Clubs frequented by the Black community included the Jazz Club and the Calypso Bar.
