Revise: Archaeological Evidence: Inscriptions and PotteryThe prescribed red-figure chous attributed to the Meidas Painter, usually spelt Meidias Painter in museum records, depicts women perfuming garments. A chous is a pouring jug. This terracotta example is held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art, accession number 75.2.11, and dates to about 420–410 BC.
