Revise: Viking warfareViking longships carried warriors across seas and along rivers. They had both sails and oars: sails provided wind power, while rowing allowed movement without a favourable wind. Their shallow draught—the limited depth of the hull below the waterline—helped them reach shallow waterways and inland settlements.
