Demilitarisation

Disarmament and demilitarisation: German armed forces and military organisations were to be abolished. Weapons were to be surrendered or destroyed, and industries capable of military production removed or controlled.

Demilitarisation: Germany would be disarmed. Its armed forces would be eliminated, and industries capable of producing military equipment would be dismantled or restricted.

The agreements also reaffirmed the demilitarisation of the Rhineland: Germany was not permitted to station military forces or build fortifications there.
