Revise: The Palestinian IssueIsrael responded with arrests, curfews, closures, beatings and the use of live ammunition. These measures caused deaths and injuries and disrupted education and livelihoods. They did not quickly suppress the uprising; continuing repression and resistance prolonged the confrontation.
