The coalition’s approach relied on C4ISR: Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance. These elements worked together rather than acting as separate advantages. Commanders needed to discover where enemy forces were, communicate that information and coordinate attacks before the enemy could respond.
