Used by AQA and OCR
Paper 2
Revise: The UK’s Place in the Wider WorldThe UK's place in the wider world depends on more than its size or the goods it produces. It is connected to other countries through trade, culture, transport and electronic communication. Economic and political relationships help maintain these connections and give the UK influence beyond its borders.
Specification 6.1b · Paper 2, Paper 3
The exchange of goods and services; international trade takes place between countries.
Keep trade figures dated: the EU accounted for 45% of UK exports and 53% of imports in 2018, before the UK left the EU.
Distinguish leaving the EU from ending links with Europe. The UK still has trade, transport and communication links with European countries.
