Carbon capture and storage

Carbon capture and storage tackles emissions at sources such as power stations and industrial facilities. Carbon dioxide is captured, compressed, transported and injected into suitable underground rock formations for storage. This can reduce the amount reaching the atmosphere, but the technology is expensive.
