Revise: Small-Scale and 'Bottom-Up' Food StrategiesA bottom-up approach involves local people identifying their needs and helping to design and manage a solution. For example, residents might organise a community vegetable garden, decide what to grow and share responsibility for maintaining it. Councils or charities may provide support; bottom-up does not mean that a community must work without outside help.
