Revise: Singin' in the Rain: film form in key sequencesA wide shot can show the dancers’ whole bodies and their relationship to the space. A long take lets their movement continue without interruption. Together, these choices encourage admiration for a sustained performance rather than making the dance depend on fragments assembled through editing.
For an identify question, give the technique and its precise location in the film: for example, the initial wide shot of Don and Kathy entering the empty sound stage. Naming only ‘a wide shot’ is not specific enough.
