Revise: Widescreen, 3D, portable cameras and SteadicamIn the late 1950s, lightweight, portable cameras suitable for hand-held use became increasingly important. These were not the first portable cameras. The significant development was equipment that made mobile filming more practical.
Keep the dates distinct: portable cameras became important in the late 1950s; Garrett Brown’s Steadicam was first introduced in 1975.
