Revise: Rocks: contexts and key sequencesRocks (Sarah Gavron, UK, 2019) is a coming-of-age drama: it explores a young person's movement towards adulthood. However, growing up here is not simply a matter of gaining independence. Shola, known as Rocks and played by Bukky Bakray, has adult responsibilities forced upon her when her mother, Funke, leaves the family home.
