Revise: Chapter 9: Dr Lanyon's NarrativeChapter 9 changes how the story is told. Instead of following Utterson's investigation through third-person narration, we read Dr Lanyon's own written account, addressed to Utterson. This first-person narrative gives us an eyewitness to the event that explains Jekyll and Hyde's mysterious relationship: Lanyon sees Hyde become Jekyll.
