Extinguisher

The Spirit carries a large extinguisher as a cap: a cover of the kind used to put out a flame. Before the journey even begins, Scrooge asks it to cover its head. The Ghost challenges him in Stave Two: “would you so soon put out, with worldly hands, the light I give?”
