Paper 2
Revise: Mild the Mist Upon the HillThe repeated m sound in “Mild” and “mist” contributes to the soft, pleasing sound, or euphony, of the opening. Mist might suggest uncertainty, but here it is not threatening: the next line says it is “Telling not of storms to-morrow;” (line 2). The absence of approaching storms makes the landscape feel reassuring.
