Revise: Marley's GhostChristian ideas shape Marley’s warning. He regrets failing to look towards the “blessed Star which led the Wise Men to a poor abode” (Stave One). This biblical allusion recalls the Wise Men visiting the infant Jesus.

Revise: Marley's GhostIn Stave One, Marley remembers failing to look towards the Star that led the Wise Men to a poor home. This biblical allusion links Christmas with attention to people in poverty. It makes charity an expression of faith rather than something separate from it.
