Revise: Shaping TechniquesShaping removes material to create a product’s required dimensions, outline and surface. Different processes do different jobs: a saw separates pieces, a drill makes holes, a plane produces flat surfaces, and a lathe produces shapes around an axis of rotation. Glass paper usually refines a surface after the main shaping is complete.
