Revise: The six Rs of sustainabilityThe six Rs — reduce, refuse, re-use, repair, recycle and rethink — help designers consider how to achieve this. They apply not just when a product is thrown away, but also when choosing materials, planning manufacture and designing for use.
Refuse means rejecting a harmful or unnecessary choice. Rethink means reconsidering how a need could be met more sustainably.
