Revise: Prototype DevelopmentA card mock-up of the lamp can help explore its proportions, footprint and control positions cheaply. It cannot prove that the final hinge will hold the lamp head securely. That requires a working component or assembly.
Do not claim that a model proves properties it cannot test: a cardboard mock-up can show size and layout, but not the strength of the final material.
