Revise: Principles of Life Cycle AssessmentA life cycle assessment (LCA) investigates environmental impacts across this whole journey: from obtaining raw materials to disposal or recycling. Designers use it to identify where damage occurs and where a different material, component or design could reduce that damage. Looking only at the finished product can hide important impacts elsewhere in its life.
