Paper 1
Revise: SustainabilityA circular economy aims to keep products and materials in use rather than following a one-way route from extraction to disposal. Choosing durable materials, enabling repair, reducing manufacturing waste and making materials recoverable all help designers conserve resources. The strongest sustainability judgement considers the whole life of the product and its effects on people rather than relying on a single label such as ‘renewable’ or ‘recyclable’.
