Anthropometrics

Anthropometrics concerns human body measurements. Designers use relevant measurements to choose dimensions: hand width may inform a handle, shoulder width may inform a backpack, and seated body measurements may inform a chair. The data should represent the intended user group; adult measurements are not automatically suitable for children.
