An identifier used to distinguish a user's account from other accounts.
Used by AQA
Paper 1
Revise: Authentication RoutinesA username identifies the account they want to use; the corresponding password provides evidence that they are entitled to use it. Together, these details are called credentials.
Use AND, not OR: the username and its corresponding password must both match.
Compare the password with the password stored for that username, not with any password in the list.
Make every outcome clear, including an unknown username, an incorrect password and a successful match. Ensure a search stops when a match is found or all accounts have been checked.
Create a free account to keep every note you open and track your progress.
