Revise: Machine Code CharacteristicsConsequently, machine code produced for one processor family cannot necessarily run directly on another. Both processors use binary, but they do not necessarily interpret the binary patterns in the same way.
When describing machine code, include both characteristics: it is expressed in binary and is specific to a processor or processor family.
