Revise: Defensive Design ConsiderationsDefensive design means anticipating these possibilities and designing the program to handle them safely. This helps make a program robust: unexpected input should not cause it to crash or produce an inappropriate result.
When explaining defensive design, link a likely misuse to a response: for example, reject letters in a numeric field and ask for a number rather than allowing the program to crash.
