Revise: Comparing Storage DevicesPurchase price tells you how much one item costs, while cost per gigabyte tells you how much storage space you receive for that money. HDDs generally have a lower cost per gigabyte than SSDs. An optical disc can be very cheap to buy, but its small capacity means that a low price per disc does not necessarily mean a low cost per gigabyte.
