Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer or computer-controlled robot to perform tasks commonly associated with intelligent beings. These include recognising patterns and making decisions. AI need not have a physical body: software that selects job applicants can use AI without being a robot.
