Revise: Stem cellsA stem cell is an undifferentiated cell of an organism. It can produce many more cells of the same type, and certain other cell types can arise from it through differentiation. These are two distinct abilities: producing more stem cells maintains a supply, while differentiation produces specialised cells needed by the organism.
