Revise: Selective BreedingSelective breeding, also called artificial selection, is the process by which humans breed plants and animals for particular genetic traits. A trait is a characteristic, such as fruit flavour or an animal's temperament. For selective breeding to work, the desired characteristic must be inherited: parents must be able to pass the genetic information affecting it to their offspring.
