Revise: RespirationA respirometer can measure oxygen uptake by living organisms, such as germinating peas or small animals. Oxygen uptake per unit time provides a measure of their aerobic respiration rate.
In a respirometer explanation, link oxygen uptake to a fall in gas pressure. Soda lime absorbs carbon dioxide, so it does not replace the oxygen used.
