Revise: Subatomic ParticlesA proton has a positive charge, assigned a relative charge of +1. An electron has an equally large negative charge, so its relative charge is −1. A neutron has no electrical charge, giving it a relative charge of 0.
Include the signs when giving relative charges: proton +1, neutron 0, electron −1.
Relative masses and relative charges are ratios, so they have no units.
