Revise: Atomic Nuclei CompositionAdding together the charges of these particles therefore gives a positive nuclear charge. Neutrons contribute mass but do not contribute charge.
Explain positive nuclear charge using both particles: protons are positive and neutrons have no charge.
A nuclear charge written as +2 means two units of proton charge, not +2 coulombs.
