Insulation

The apparatus includes a metal block with separate holes for a heater and thermometer, a low-voltage power supply and connecting leads, an ammeter, a voltmeter, a stopwatch, a balance, insulation and a heatproof mat. Typical blocks have a mass of about 1 kg, but their actual mass should be measured.
