Revise: Coronary heart diseaseThe coronary arteries deliver blood containing oxygen and glucose to these cells. The cells use oxygen and glucose in aerobic respiration, releasing energy needed for the heart muscle to contract.
Explain the full chain in coronary heart disease: fatty deposits narrow the coronary arteries → reduced blood flow → less oxygen reaches the heart muscle → reduced aerobic respiration.
