Revise: Energy TransfersWool and air are poor thermal conductors, so they reduce energy transfer by conduction. Trapping air also restricts its movement, reducing transfer by convection. Trapped air does not prevent thermal radiation; shiny foil surfaces can reduce radiative transfer by reflecting radiation and being poor emitters.
