Revise: Decorative objects and their creationOver time, natural forms often became more stylised and symmetrical. An octopus’s tentacles, for example, could become long, orderly lines rather than a realistic arrangement. Some vessels carried a single prominent motif with blank space around it; others used pictorial scenes involving people, animals or chariots.
