Paper 1, Paper 2, Paper 4, Paper 5
An ancient object, building or physical trace used as evidence about the past.
Revise: Visual and Material SourcesThe prescribed material sources range from enormous temples to a drinking cup. They show how Greeks and Romans gave visible form to religious beliefs, heroic stories and political authority. Their subjects matter, but so do their settings: a sculpture on a temple addressed a different audience from a picture encountered while drinking.
