Revise: Nostos and FateFate and divine intervention are connected, but they are not identical. Fate concerns an allotted outcome; divine intervention is a particular action by a god. Circe’s directions are divine assistance, and in Book 19 Athena lights the hall while Odysseus and Telemachus hide the weapons.
