Revise: Greek Drama and Archaic PoetryIn the opening passage, Praxagora gathers women before dawn to prepare for the Assembly. They have already planned together at the Scirophoria, also called the Scira in the passage. Their cooperation gives them agency: they organise, prepare and pursue a political objective rather than merely responding to men's decisions.
