Revise: GreecePoseidon struck the rock of the Acropolis with his trident, producing a spring of seawater. Athena planted an olive tree. Zeus and Cecrops judged the contest: Poseidon’s water was salty and of little practical use, whereas the olive tree supplied food and oil and supported trade.
