Paper 2
Revise: Roles Undertaken by Citizens within the Legal SystemA court may authorise special measures, such as a screen, a video link, recorded evidence or an intermediary who helps explain questions and communicate answers. These measures help eligible witnesses give evidence effectively; they do not establish that the defendant is guilty. If someone tries to intimidate a witness, the witness should tell court staff, their solicitor or the prosecution so that it can be reported to the police.
