Revise: Evaluating Citizenship ActionsSeparate the activity from its outcome. Delivering an assembly is an activity; participants learning something new is an outcome. The assembly taking place proves that you completed a task, but it does not automatically prove that you educated the audience.

The result of an activity, such as a response from a decision-maker or a change in participants’ knowledge.
Revise: Action Evaluation and ImpactThe outcome is what actually happened. Compare that outcome with the original goal and decide whether it was fully met, partly met or not met. Keep the original goal in view: an unexpected benefit can be valuable, but it does not prove that the intended effect occurred.
