Revise: Formula of Hydrated SaltWhen the crystals are heated, they lose their water of crystallisation. The blue solid becomes pale grey-white anhydrous copper(II) sulfate. If none of the solid is lost or decomposed, its decrease in mass is the mass of water driven off.
