Revise: Greenhouse EffectBecause the Earth is much cooler than the Sun, the warmed surface releases energy mainly as thermal infrared radiation. This is what the specification means by heat radiated from the Earth.
Do not say that greenhouse gases simply reflect heat. State that they absorb thermal infrared radiation from the Earth and then release infrared energy in all directions.
