Revise: 3D shapes of simple moleculesSimple molecules contain non-metal atoms joined by covalent bonds. Because a real molecule occupies three-dimensional space, chemists often use a ball-and-stick model to represent its spatial arrangement: balls represent atoms and sticks represent covalent bonds. On paper or a screen, that 3D arrangement must be communicated using a two-dimensional drawing.
