Revise: Electrochemical CellsIn a non-rechargeable cell, the reaction eventually stops when one of the reactants has been used up. The cell can no longer maintain its voltage and is described as “flat”. Its reaction cannot be usefully reversed by passing a charging current through it, so the cell must be replaced.
