Paper 1 (Foundation), Paper 2 (Foundation), Paper 3 (Higher), Paper 4 (Higher)
The speed at which a reactant is used up or a product is formed.
State that the forward and reverse reaction rates are equal at dynamic equilibrium. Do not say that both rates are zero.
When explaining a chosen temperature, state its separate effects on reaction rate and equilibrium position. Do not say that a faster reaction necessarily gives a higher equilibrium yield.
