Specification 4.8.3.6 · Paper 2
Revise: Instrumental AnalysisAQA identifies three central advantages: instrumental methods are accurate, sensitive and rapid.
When asked for advantages over chemical tests, use the precise terms accurate, sensitive and rapid, then explain the term if more than a simple statement is required.
Do not confuse accurate with rapid: accuracy concerns how close a result is to the true value; rapid means the analysis can be completed quickly.
